Original Steel Body

Although Great West Vans was the first manufacturer to develop a wide body Class “B” motorhome in 1991 we have since moved beyond that concept. Widening the body without a wider wheel spacing below supporting it affects vehicle handling causing wallowing. Furthermore we found that taking away the steel body and replacing it with fiberglass sacrificed the overall strength of the vehicle. Instead of widening the body we have focused on developing more creative ways to increase the usable space inside a Class “B” motorhome.
